London, 26th July 2018: EBX (The European Broadcaster Exchange) today announced the appointment of Damon Westbury as Commercial Director. Westbury will begin his new role in August and will lead on all commercial aspects of the business, including agency relationships and trading agreements.
EBX is a joint venture founded by four major European broadcasters; Mediaset (Italy and Spain), ProSiebenSat.1 Media (Germany), TF1 Group (France) and Channel 4 (UK). It was created to address the demand for brand-safe environments and high-quality pan-European online video campaigns at scale.
In the first half of 2018, EBX has invested heavily in a first-of-its-kind tech stack with a unique remit to aggregate and streamline the supply of Advanced TV formats across multiple European broadcasters, resulting in greater media buying efficiency.
Westbury joins EBX from Clear Channel, where he was the International Sales Director. Prior to that, he held several roles at Microsoft. He said of his EBX appointment: “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining EBX at this exciting time.
